Lakeside of Seattle's one-two punch of Daejon Davis and Isiah Brown was too much for Rogers, as the Lions overcame the Pirates 76-63 Saturday in a 3A regional round of state game at Mt. Spokane. Lakeside's win books them a trip to Tacoma on Thursday for the state quarterfinals. Davis led all scorers with 27 points. He shot 9-of-15 from the field and 9-of-10 from the free-throw line.
