The Garfield-Palouse Girls used a strong defensive effort in the first have to cruise to a comfortable 55-32 win over Lacrosse-Washtucna/ Kahlotus in Southeast 1B action Friday night. Payson Griner led Gar-Pal with 19 points while Katie Arrasmith chipped in 14. LWK, paced by A. Harder's 14 points struggled early on with several missed layups and foul trouble.

Jacey Johnson scored 24 points for Oakesdale (11-8) to give her team a 61-32 win over LaCrosse-Washtucna/Kahlotus (4-15). The Tigercats held Johnson scoreless in the first quarter, but she would later bring in five steals and grab 10 points off of those steals. Lindsey Lindgren brought in 12 points for Oakesdale, while Alynn Harder led the Tigercats with 11 points. The key factor of this contest was LaCrosse-Wastucna/Kahlotus bringing in 29 turnovers throughout the game.
