Miahna Waters notched 14 digs with five service aces and the Wildcats defeated the Braves in straight sets (25-13, 25-15, 25-17) in the Washington 3A District 8 championship on Saturday, earning the district's top seed to the state championship. Malina Ama led the Wildcats with 10 kills.

Jilliam Groves had 12 kills, 38 assists and five service aces for the Highlanders, but Kamiakin edged Shadle Park in five sets (25-23, 18-25, 25-23, 23-25, 15-12) in a 3A district match on Saturday. Shadle Park heads to the consolation bracket and they play November 2.
