Tabitha Wellsandt's 15 points and a big free-throw margin helped Kamiakin beat host Shadle Park 48-40 Friday in the 3A subregional championship. Lindsey Schauble added 14 points for the Braves. Kamiakin had 22 free throws on the night, making 17, while Shadle Park attempted only seven and converted six. Shyla Carr totaled 16 points for the Highlanders, who host Mt. Spokane on Saturday with No. 2 seed to regionals up for grabs.
