Amira/Coulee-Hartline won decisively in the first round of the District 7 playoffs Thursday night, sweeping Incehlium 25-12, 25-19, 25-9. Berlyn Hunt led the Warriors with nine kills and Brenna Oliver tallied 15 assists and five aces in the victory. Amira/Coulee-Hartline moved on to play Valley Christian in the next round, while Inchelium played a loser-out game with Republic.

Republic snuck by Inchelium to avoid elimination in the 1B District 7 playoffs Thursday night, winning in five sets in a back-and-forth match. Carlie Rittel tallied 11 kills, Haley McRae chipped in 26 and Summer Jones tacked on seven service aces in the Tigers win. Republic moves on to play Odessa-Harrington in a loser out match at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Northwest Christian high school in Spokane. Inchelium is eliminated.
