Deer Park won the District playoffs Thursday night, defeating Freeman 2-0. The Stags scored two goals in the second half to pull away from the Scotties. Jessie Thomas knocked in a goal off a deflection from a penalty kick in the 50th minute, and then assisted on a Riley Martinson goal in the 65th minute to extend Deer Park's lead. The Stags allowed only one shot from the Scotties. Freeman goalkeeper Cassidy Crosswhite was kept busy, amassing 13 saves.

Tori Kestell scored the tying goal in the 77th minute and Freeman beat Lakeside 2-1 in a shootout to qualify for state. Freeman avenges two earlier losses to Lakeside, which ends its season. The Scotties will face Deer Park at Gonzaga Prep on Thursday, 7:30 p.m., for the number one and two seeds to state.
