At Gonzaga Prep, Jocelyn Cook-Cox scored the only goal of the match to lift Lakeside to a 1-0 win over Freeman in the District 7 1A title match. Lakeside secures the 1 seed in the 1A State tournament, with Freeman claiming the second seed.

Freeman continued its winning ways, defeating Newport 2-1 to secure a spot at state. Kasey Christiansen scored in the first half to give the Scotties the lead. Laura Ruby extended the lead in the second half with a goal of her own. Newport finally scored right at the end of the match on a goal by Kennedy Kindred. With the win, Freeman moves on to play the winner of the Lakeside vs. Riverside match tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Gonzaga Prep. With the loss Newport's season comes to a close.
