What happened: Kaitlyn Waters scored 19 points, Paisley Cox added 17 and the Crusaders (19-7, 11-4) eliminated the visiting Spartans (12-5, 7-2) in a State 2B opening-round game at Cheney HS on Friday. Iesha Johnson led Forks with 13 points. NWC advances to an elimination game in the rouud-of-12 against La Conner on Wednesday at the Spokane Arena.
