Genesis Wilkinson scored 12 points and Faith Adams added 10 as East Valley defeated East Valley of Yakima 47-44 on Saturday to take third place in the state 2A tournament at the SunDome in Yakima. Wilkinson, Brie Holecek and Emily Fletcher grabbed six rebounds apiece for the top-seeded Knights, who finished 22-2. Ashlynn Sylve scored 15 points and Kalli Willett and Alyssa Valdez had 12 apiece for the Red Devils.
