Jaya Allen smacked a two-run home run and the visiting Shadle Park Highlanders banged out 23 hits en route to a 13-4 victory over the East Valley Knights in Greater Spokane League action on Monday. Jessica Mellen drove in a pair of runs as EV took a 4-3 lead in the second inning. Shadle blew the game open with a five-run seventh.

Ciara Harding pitched a complete game to collect the win for Mead and also had three hits at the plate. Ashley Hammond hit three singles as Mead downed East Valley in the first game of the doubleheader between the two teams.
