What happened: Kyle Van Boeyen pitched the shutout with five strikeouts and one walk and the Bengals (12-13) blanked the Mustangs in the Idaho 5A State first round. Chris Powell of Lewiston slugged a double in the bottom of the third, knocking in the game's sole RBI. Connor Stamper and Braden Ruddell each had two hits and scored once for the Bengals. Lewiston will play Bonneville on Friday at 12:00 PM PST.
