A big fourth quarter helped Lind-Ritzville/Sprague pull away from Dayton, eventually defeating the Bulldogs 51-34. Dayton had narrowed the margin to 33-28 by the end of the third quarter, but the Broncos outscored them 18-6 in the final frame. Tessa Jantz led all scorers with 13 points for the Broncos. The loss ends Dayton's season. Lind-Ritzville/Sprague continues on to regionals next week.

Hailey Higashi scored 20 points, Emily Tender 15 and Ceci Bergquist 12 as St. George's defeated Dayton at the Bi-District 7/9 tournament at Mead to qualify for next week's regional tournament. The Dragons (14-13) play DeSales 3:30 p.m. today at Mead to determine the third and fourth seeds to regionals. St. George's, leading 21-14 at the half, came on strong with a 20-point third quarter in which Tender made two 3-pointers and Higashi scored seven points. St. George's lost to DeSales 42-32 …
