Colton Vining pitched six innings and struck out five for the win as Colville defeated Deer Park 3-2 in a District 7 1A baseball game at Medical Lake. The Indians take the Northeast A League's second seed to regionals and will play Cashmere at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Dan White Field in Wenatchee. McKabe Cottrell threw seven strikeouts in the five innings to pick up the win, and Jake Phipps picked up his fifth save as Freeman held on for a 5-4 victory over Colville in the 1A District 7 championship. Cottrell also had a double. Jack Paukert started off scoring with an RBI single in the first inning. For Colville, Josh Harvey went 2 for 3 with an RBI.
