Connor O'Neill scored 18 points and visiting Lind-Ritzville/Sprague overcame a shaky third period to win its season opener, defeating Columbia-Burbank 42-35. The Broncos led 20-11 but a 21-point third-quarter explosion by Columbia gave the Coyotes a short-lived 32-30 lead heading into the fourth. The Broncos recovered, outscoring Columbia 12-3 in the final period. Cort Ruzicka added 8 points and 7 rebounds for LRS.
