The Colton Girls broke open a tight game in the second half, edging out Touchet 64-47 in the final round of the District 9 1B Tournament Friday night. Colton's Zoe Moser led all scorers with 27 points including a perfect 9 for 9 from the free throw line. Dakota Patchen chipped in 15 for Colton who will now advance to the regional tournament. Cierra McKeown led Touchet with 15 points as the Indians see their season come to a close.
Colton 65, Pomeroy 33

Meghan Devorak finished with 19 points to help power Colton past Pomeroy 65-33 in the first round of the 1B District 9 playoffs on Friday night. Colton started off to a 24-2 lead in the first quarter and maintained the pressure. Kendyl Druffel had 15 points for Colton and Kacey Halbert had 13 points and Sydney Smith scored 11 for Pomeroy. Colton plays Touchet for the district title on Friday at 6 p.m. at Walla Walla Community College.
