Colville's Gracie Schauls struck out eight batters and gave up one earned run as the host Indians (14-5) defeated Chewelah (12-9) 5-3 in a District 7 1A game. Kayla Howes hit a solo home run, and Katrina Richartz drove in two runs for Colville. Colville travels to Nine Mile Falls to face top-seeded Lakeside (18-2) on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the next round.

Riverside scored both of their runs in fifth inning on back-to-back throwing errors, but it proved enough as the Rams defeated Chewelah 2-1. Elisha Workman had all of Riverside's hits, going 3 for 3 from the plate. Keelin Hunt shut down the Cougar offense, giving up on four hits and throwing 14 strikeouts. Bryanna Jordan got on with the first throwing error and scored the winning run on the second.
