The Zillah girls, led by Megan True's 19 points, cruised past Chewelah 51-31, in the state subregional 1A tournament, Saturday night. Zillah will move on to play in the State 1A tournament, while Chewelah, who was plagued with 31 turnovers on the night, will see their season come to an end.

Krislyn Koler scored five of her 14 points in the first quarter as Chewelah took a 17-7 lead early on their way to a 45-32 win over Freeman in a loser-out, regional qualifier. Maggie Cobb also scored eight of her nine points in the first quarter as part of gaining the early advantage. While Freeman's season is over, Chewelah advances as a No. 2 seed.
