Connor Pratt went the distance on the mound and started the Blackhawks' big sixth inning as Cheney outlasted host Ellensburg and earned a spot in the state tournament with a 6-5 victory. Pratt battled back after allowing a three-run homer in the first inning to Alonso Biblano that relinquished the Blackhawks' early 3-0 edge. John Sage drove in six runs off of a triple and two doubles as West Valley rallied from a 10-7 deficit to win 11-10 over visiting Cheney. West Valley's Blake Davis pitched three innings of relief to slow down Cheney's scoring, allowing the Blackhawks just two runs.
