Central Valley defeated Skyline 26-24, 25-22, 22-25, 25-17 to keep their run at the state 4A tournament alive. Kara Nitteberg had 21 digs and Jade Rockwood had 24 assists to lead the Bears. Central Valley will play Gig Harbor at 6:45 p.m. in the 7th/8th place match.

Central Valley nearly rallied, but fell in five sets to Battle Ground at the 4A State tournament in Lacey. Jade Rockwood led the Bears with 20 assists and 11 digs. CV will battle Snohomish Friday night in the next round.
