What happened: Brynn McGaughy scored 11 points with 11 rebounds and the top-seeded Bears (27-0) beat the sixth-seeded Lions (25-5) to win the State 3A championship at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday. The last time CV won the title was in 2020. Helena Chrisofilis led Lakeside with 14 points.

What happened: Drae Domebo scored 12 points and the top-seeded Bears (26-0) defeated 19th-seeded Bulldogs (17-10) in a State 3A semifinal at the Tacoma Dome on Friday. Jayda Lewis led Garfield with 14 points. Central Valley remains undefeated and plays Lakeside for 3A Championship on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
