Freeman closed out their season with a 4-1 defeat to Cashmere Saturday in the State 1A tournament. The loss means the Scotties finish fourth. Jake Phipps turned in a solid outing, but the Bulldogs pushed across three runs in the fourth to provide the difference. McKabe Cottrell drove in the only run for Freeman in the first inning.

Cashmere blew their game against Freeman wide open on Jake Monroe's bases-clearing triple in the fourth inning to bring in three runs. Despite Desmond Parisotto's RBI ground out in the second inning, Freeman was unable to hang with the No. 2-ranked Cashmere in Cashmere's 7-1 victory.
