Hailey Higashi had 20 points and eight rebounds to lead St. George's to a 58-43 victory over Asotin on Monday night in a 2B subregional game at West Valley. St. George's moves on to play Northwest Christian at Whitman College in Walla Walla on Friday night while Asotin ends its season. Higashi added four steals and four assists, and Ceci Bergquist scored a game-high 25 points for St. George's. Shanndyn Fyant hit four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points to lead Asotin.

A diverse offense and stingy defense helped Oakesdale defeat Asotin 60-36. The Nighthawks had three players score in double figures: Tatiana Mendoza with 15 points, Jacey Johnson 14 and Anne Hockett with 11. Defensively, they held Asotin to 27% field goal shooting while shooting 37% themselves. Mendoza and Lindsey Lindgren each had nine rebounds. For Asotin, Sarah Nicholas led with 15 points.
