Payton Nielson scored 11 points, but the eighth-seeded Warriors (18-6) lost to the top-seeded Knights (23-1) in a 1B regional at Eisenhower HS in Yakima. Kyler Marsh led Sunnyside Christian with 16 points. Sunnyside Christian plays on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in a state quarterfinal at the Spokane Arena while Almira/Coulee-Hartline faces a state first-round elimination game on Wednesday at 2 p.m.

Maguire Isaak hit the game-winning layup with four seconds left and the Warriors (18-5) beat the Redskins (16-7). Almira/Coulee-Hartline wins the 1B District 7 championship to advance to regionals. Wellpinit plays Odessa in a loser-out game on Saturday with a berth to state on the line. Isaak had 14 total points with nine rebounds. Payton Nielsen added 16 points with nine rebounds for the Warriors. Butch Flett scored a game-high 33 points for Wellpinit.
