What happened: Sawyer Terry hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning and the 11th-seeded Pirates (18-7) beat the third-seeded Cougars (18-4) in a State 2B quarterfinal at Mt. Spokane HS on Saturday. Nolan Jeanneret and Dakota Acosta drove in runs for Chewelah.
