What happened: Ivy Westermann had two hits, including a double, and the Wildcats (16-1) beat the visiting Saxons (9-9) in the District 8 3A/2A tournament. Marrin Teel went 3 for 3 to lead Ferris. Cassie Jay and Riley Kincaid each provided two-run doubles for Mt. Spokane. Mt. Spokane will host mead in a semifinal on Wednesday while Ferris will travel to Grandview for a loser out.
