What happened: Michael Schwarz doubled in Ryan Clay in the top of the ninth and Matt Gabbert stuck out the side in the bottom half and Central Valley (20-3) eliminated the Panthers (13-10) in a District 8 4A loser-out at Mead HS on Saturday. Clay finished 3 for 4 and Schwarz was 2 for 5. CV advanced to the district third-place game against Gonzaga Prep.
