What happened: Gianna McCoy hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning, Haley Lance tied it in the bottom of the ninth with a RBI double, and the Bears beat the visiting Tigers on Friday night in the 4A District 8 tournament to clinch a berth in the state tourney. Central Valley plays at Richland in the title game on May 18 at 2 p.m. Kylie Pester had 15 strikeouts for Lewis and Clark, which plays a loser-out game at University on May 18 at noon.
