What happened: JT Smith went 3 for 4 with three stolen bases and the Wildcats (17-1) beat the visiting Saxons (10-8) on Wednesday. Mt. Spokane clinched the Greater Spokane League title and the No. 1 seed in the District 8 3A tournament. Brady Hill struck out five over four innings and Brandon Ivanich went 3 for 3. Brock Bozett went 3 for 3 and scored twice for Ferris.
