Claire Lyons led Concordia Christian with 19 points and nine rebounds. Emma Droog added seven points and grabbed 15 boards for Mt. Vernon Christian. The Hurricanes jumped out quickly, leading the Hawks 16-9 after the first quarter and 33-17 at intermission. Mt. Vernon Christian threw up 34 3-pointers, knocking down nine. Free throw shooting was in Concordia Christian's favor as they made 11-of-18, but Mt. Vernon Christian was 4-for-9. The Hurricanes advance to play sixth-seeded Sunnyside Christian on Saturday at 8 a.m. in the fourth/sixth place game.
