Summary

Gabi Isaak scored 14 points with eight rebounds and the third-seeded Warriors (23-1) defeated the fourth-seeded Hurricanes (22-4) on Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the 1B state tournament in the Spokane Arena. Almira/Coulee-Hartline only led by three at halftime, but the Warriors outscored the Hurricanes 33-9 after intermission. The Warriors outrebounded Mt. Vernon Christian 50-20 and shot 20 percent better from the field. Almira/Coulee-Hartline advances to play second-seeded Pomeroy on Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the Spokane Arena. Mt. Vernon Christian plays eighth-seeded Concordia Christian Academy on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Arena.
