What happened: Jordyn Moehrle scored 13 points, Dakota Patchen added 10 and the Wildcats (20-2) beat the Pirates (19-3) in the district championship game at Colfax HS. Colton, ranked No. 2 in state 1B behind Pomeroy entering play, has qualified for the state tournament every season since 2007 with nine title in 12 years. Maddy Dixon led Pomeroy with 12 points. The Pirates play in the district second-place game on Friday against Oakesdale.
