What happened: Sydney Wiyrick went 3 for 4 with four RBIs, Katie McInnis went 3 for 4 with a stolen base and three runs, and the Wildcats (10-1) beat the Highlanders (7-4) on Tuesday to clinch the Greater Spokane League 3A title. Megan Lohr went 3 for 4 with three runs for Shadle Park. The Highlanders wrap up their regular season Wednesday against North Central before playing a first-round District 8 playoff game against the No. 3 seed from the Mid-Columbia Conference at the home of the MCC champion on May 10. Mt. Spokane, which plays Rogers in its regular-season finale Wednesday, earned a first-round bye in the District 8 playoffs.
