What happened: Cameron Bean allowed two hits and struck out four in 6 2/3 innings and the Wildcats (18-7) edged the Eagles (14-6) in a state 1B semifinal game at Winlock HS. Luke Vining drove in both Wildcat runs with a two-out, two-strike single in the third inning. Matt Wolf induced a popup for the final out to earn the save. Colton will face Almira-Coulee/Hartline in the state championship game on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Wheeler Field in Centralia.
