Chris Sabin slugged a a three-run homer in the first, tagged on a double, and pitched the win from the mound and the Badgers (16-4, 6-1) overcame the Bulldogs in the Idaho 3A state semifinal at Treasure Valley CC. Every batter in the Bonners Ferry lineup had a hit in a team effort win. Seth Bateman hit 4 for 4 (7 for 8 in the tournament) with an RBI and scored twice, and Brady Bateman and Shayne Walker also had three RBIs for the Badgers. Nate Bailey of Kimberley went 3 for 3 with with a three-run homer and three runs scored.
