What happened:
Desmond Parisotto hurled a no-hitter, striking out 10 and the Scotties (20-3) beat the Cougars (17-5) in the District 7 1A championship game at Avista Stadium. Parisotto also hit an RBI single in the first and Caleb Watts went 2 for 3 with an RBI for Freeman. The Scotties will advance to the State tournament, set to play at 1:00 next Saturday at Ferris. Chewelah advances to a CTL/NEA Glue Crossover game on May 15.
