Summary

Odessa came into the 2B tournament seeded sixth and the left with a fourth-place trophy in hand.

Ryan Moffet ran the show again for the Tigers, scoring 20 points to keep his tournament scoring average above 20 points a game for the second straight tournament.

The second leading scorer for the Tigers was Marcus King who added 11 points on 5 of 6 shooting.

One thing that stands out about this Odessa team is its aggressiveness. They crashed the boards and jumped the passing lanes, earning 32 rebounds – to Tacoma Baptist’s 23 – and seven steals.

The Crusaders only had five people score the basketball, led by PJ Talen with 15 points and Bradley Swillie with 12.

Odessa had its highest finish ever in 1B and its second highest in school history and highest since at least 1999.

Tacoma Baptist earned the sixth-place trophy.
