Summary

Junior forward Anton Watson scored 22 points and sophomore guard Liam Lloyd added 14 as Gonzaga Prep rallied in the fourth quarter, then held off Federal Way 54-52 to complete an undefeated season, winning the state 4A championship Saturday at the Tacoma Dome.

The 27-0 Bullpups shot 21 free throws, hitting 12, while the Eagles converted two of just four free-throw attempts, and forced Federal Way into 15 turnovers while committing just seven, outscoring the Eagles 17-0 off those turnovers. Jaden McDaniels and Marcus Austin scored 14 points apiece for Federal Way, which led the game for more than 19 minutes but fell short, finishing 27-2.
