Lewis and Clark rallied in the fourth quarter, outscoring Richland 27-19 to capture the third-place game Saturday in the state 4A championships at the Tacoma Dome.
Senior Naje Smith hit 4 of 6 three-pointers and scored 27 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, four on the offensive boards, and blocked three shots for the Tigers. Bailey Rosanau added 13 points and Griffin Effenberger had for ninth-seeded Lewis and Clark, which finished 20-9.
Cole Northrop led four Bombers in double figures with 20 points, adding eight rebounds. Seven-foot-three center Riley Sorn scored 16 points (with five blocks), Cody Sanderson had 13 and Garrett Streufert 11 for Richland, which lost its final two games to finish 24-3.
