In a game where free throws were a premium, the Bears knocked down more of them in the waning moments.

Brewster made 15 of its 20 free throw to slant the game in its favor. The Bears were led by Corey Jarrell who scored 19 points on 6 of 11 shooting.

MWP’s Matthew Poquette tried to keep the Timberwolves in it, but only Tristan Storey added double digit scoring.

Both teams shot the ball well in the game, with more than half the shots falling in the contest.

The Bears’ frustrating and tight defense led to nine steals and 12 turnovers overall for the Timberwolves.

Joe Taylor added 17 points for the Bears.

Brewster advances to play seventh-seeded Toutle Lake on Saturday in the fourth/sixth place game at 9:30 a.m.

Morton-White Pass was eliminated.
