Summary

Emma Severs scored a game-high 18 points with 10 rebounds and the Pirates are headed to the quarterfinals of 1B State Tournament. Pomeroy was in control most of the game, but the Tigers pulled within four midway through the fourth quarter.

The Pirates put the slim hope of a win and closed the door on the Tigers as they were gaining momentum.

Entiat was led by Natalya Paz who scored 14 points of 5 of 21 shooting, also grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Tigers, even though she was the shortest girl on the court at 5 feet 3 inches.

Paz filled the stat sheet as she also dished out four assists to lead all players.

Maddy Dixon added 13 points and eight rebounds for the Pirates.

Both teams were poor from the field as the Pirates shot 34 percent and the Tigers shot only 32 percent. Pomeroy took advantage of more opportunities at the free throw line, knocking down 10 of 19 from the line while Entiat made only 1 of 2.
