Summary

The dream season continues.

Saint George’s remained undefeated at 25-0 on its way to the quarterfinals of the 2B State Tournament.

Junior guard Mitchell Ward scored 14 points while being a perfect 6 for 6 from the line. Erik Farias added 13 points on 5 for 6 from the line. As a team, the Dragons sunk 13 for 16 shots from the charity stripe.

Joe Taylor led the Bears with 20 points and a game-high nine rebounds.

Brewster hung tough with the Dragons up to halftime as the game went to intermission tied 23 to 23.

But the Dragons caught fire in the third, outscoring the Bears 20-7.

The Dragons defense was too much in the end for Brewster as the Bears shot just 19 percent from the field in the second half.

Saint George’s advances to play fourth-seeded Liberty on Friday at 9 p.m.

Brewster will play Morton-White Pass at 2 p.m.
