Summary

The third-seeded Red Devils always looked like they would triumph over the Hurricanes as they led from the beginning.

The Red Devils only shot 39 percent from the floor, but they knocked down 11 of their 20 3-pointers, or 55 percent. Lalia Greene made 4 of her 5 3’s on her way to a game-high 16 points. Courtney Swan drained three 3-pointers and added 11 points.

Mount Vernon Christian actually snatched more rebounds, but a lot of them came on the offensive glass after missed shots.

The Hurricanes shot only 25 percent on the night and finished the second half at only 19 percent. It was a rough night offensively for the team that finished second in the Northwest 1B/2B league.

Josie Droog led MVC with nine points on 3 of 12 shooting.

Neah Bay advances to play second-seeded Pomeroy on Friday at 9 p.m.

Mount Vernon Christian will play ninth-seeded Entiat at 2 p.m.
