Summary

Jamie Loera's 32 points led undefeated Moses Lake past University 71-60 in a state 4A quarterfinal Thursday at the Tacoma Dome. Abby Rathbun scored 17 points and Morgan Yamane added 13 for the No. 4-seeded Chiefs; each grabbed nine rebounds. Loera, who also had seven assists, hit 4 of 8 3-pointers, two coming in a 15-1 second-quarter run good for a 30-18 lead. She hit eight of 11 free throws in the fourth quarter.

Moses Lake, now 24-0, takes on top-ranked Central Valley in Friday's first semifinal. Elle Boni scored 22 points and Claire Dingus had 10 for No. 14 U-Hi (18-9), which faces Kentlake in the fourth-place bracket Friday at 9 a.m.
