Summary

What happened: Jaya Allen spun a one-hit shutout as Shadle Park beat host Mead 4-0 on Monday to finish off the Greater Spokane League regular season.

Allen struck out 11 and also collected three hits and two runs at the plate. Meghan Keenan added two hits for the Highlanders, who wrapped up the league season at 15-3 and tied for second with Mt. Spokane.

Mead finished the league campaign at 9-9 and faced Gonzaga Prep later on Monday in a 4A play-in game.
