What happened:

Carsten Schmidt drilled a key 2 RBI double in the fourth and Gonzaga Prep defeated visiting Chiawana 7-4 on Saturday. Gonzaga Prep got off to an early start with a 2 RBI single by Jeffrey Young in the second inning. Bristol McElroy launched a third inning home run for Chiawana in the losing effort. With the win, the Bullpups will play Walla Walla next Saturday at Gesa stadium. Chiawana moves on to a loser-out game against Mead.
