Summary

What happened:

Earley locked down the last three innings for the win as Gonzaga Prep (6-3, 4-3) defeated Shadle Park (4-5, 4-3) 3-2 on Friday. Earley finished with three strikeouts while not allowing a hit.

Gonzaga Prep got on the board in the second inning, making the score 1-0 on a Kasey Anthony RBI single. After scoring again in the third, Shadle Park answered in the fourth with two runs to tie the game at 2-2. In the bottom of the sixth with a runner on third, Seth Kuykendall hit a fly ball to right fielder Jaden Delacruz that was able to score the go-ahead run and eventual winning run for Gonzaga Prep.

Josh Miller threw well on the mound for the Bullpups as he picked up the win after going four innings while striking out nine.
