Summary

What happened:

Kelsey Gumm scattered two hits over seven innings with 14 strikeouts as the Bears (4-2, 2-2) defeated the visiting Pirates (3-4, 2-3) 7-0 on Tuesday in the rain. Gumm also added an RBI double to her magnificent day.

After a scoreless first inning, Central Valley got the ball rolling with two big runs in the second inning to take the lead. After another scoreless third, the Bears added five more runs over the next three innings to pad their lead. Hannah Wampler had two hits to pace he Bears.
