Summary

Griffin Bacon walked to lead off the bottom of the seventh inning and scored on a fielder's choice by Miguel Stowe to send the Shadle Park Highlanders to a 2-1 victory over the visiting Mead Panthers in Greater Spokane League baseball action on Monday.

Mead starting pitcher Mason Wells and Shadle starter Blake Wells put up a whole lot of zeroes until Justin Solt's RBI single scored Donovan Meadows in the bottom of the sixth to give the Highlanders a 1-0 lead.

The Panthers knotted the score at 1-1 when Mason Wells led off with a single - the only hit allowed by Blake Wells - and scored on a fielder's choice.
