Summary

What happened:

Sophomore Stuart Flesland threw six shutout innings for Mt. Spokane (13-0, 11-0) as the Wildcats stayed undefeated with a victory of Shadle Park (8-5, 8-3) on Friday. Flesland scattered four hits and Jacob Morgan picked up the save.

Mt. Spokane got off to an early start as they scored a run in the bottom of the first inning on a single by Garrett Stevens, plating Quentin Ayers. After six dazzling innings by Flesland, Gabe Martin smacked an RBI double that scored Mikey Tsuchida, giving the Wildcats a two-run lead. Morgan then come on in the seventh to shut the door.

Griffin Bacon threw well for Shadle Park, scattering for hits over six innings while only allowing two runs. He finished with seven strikeouts as well.
