Sunnyside Christian (26-1) thumped Evergreen Christian (21-4) 61 to 35 on Saturday, claiming third place at the 1B girl's basketball state tournament at the Spokane Arena.
The Knights jumped out to a 38-14 lead at halftime and cruised in the second half. The Eagles were held to 25 percent shooting from the field and 10 percent from beyond the arc.
Krisen Broersma led the Knights with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Katelyn and Emily Banks had 17 and 10 points, respectivley. Emily Holder led the Eagles with 21 points on 6 of 16 shooting.
